Ubuntu Packages for Breezy Badger, Dapper Drake, and Gutsy Gibbon: Backports and updates for Pidgin, Rhythmbox, FreeCiv, and more.
I've got an Ubuntu PPA set up. Just gutsy for now. More later. Just add deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mighmos/ubuntu gutsy main to your sources, and you'll be good to go with FreeCiv 2.1.1 and Pidgin 2.3.1!
I don't have much of an excuse for doing nothing. Until now. I've tried to set up a real blogging / CMS system, but apparently the MySQL on my server is slightly out of whack. I'll be working in my free time (of which there isn't much) to resolve the issue.
I'd like just to let you all know that no, this site isn't dead, but that I've just had a lot less time balancing school work with a job. This summer I will have another machine to do testing on, so expect updates for Dapper and Edgy (and Feisty, now, too).
For everyone who's asked, I am working on getting Gaim-beta6 out. (Hopefully, this will be the last beta). Anyway, I am running into issues, and at one point it did break Synaptic, so bear with me; and yes, I am working on it.
PS: When Feisty comes out I'll probably set up a real blogging system
For everyone who had an unusable Gaim for a few hours, I'm very sorry. The problem was a packaging issue, and some file not getting stuck in. This caused Gaim to fail to launch on every machine but my own. I offer my humblest appologies.
I've updated Gaim to beta4, and gaim-encryption appropriately. I've personally upgraded to edgy, but the dapper chroots are still working fine. I'm working on figuring out multiple release support with one repository, so keep tight for an edgy repo.
The repository is now up and running, and it is good. People who don't feel comfortable adding foreign repos to their sources.list file will still be able to download from the download page. Gaim-OTR has been added, as well.
I told you I was adding a secure repository, but I forgot to tell you where to download my key. To make sure its really me, preform the following:
And have fun. Also, sometime soon, I'll be adding Ubuntu Tips and Tricks, and stuffs.
I figure 10-10 would be a good day to update, finally. I'm working on a secure apt repo now, and if anyone wants to test it out, the line is: deb http://mighmos.org/apt-repository/ dapper main, which should have the Rhythmbox for AMD64 and i386. Check the packages page for Rhythmbox 0.9.6. Fun stuffs. The changelog is HERE. Signifigant changes include:
I've updated Gaim to 2.0.0-beta3.1. Exciting shit. Mostly crasher-related bug- fixes, but an important part is that MSN works again now if it didn't before.
I've once again updated Mugshot to 1.1.11. Some new features with that bubble window thing.
UPDATE: I'm trying to find an easy way to set up an apt repository that allows me to directly upload to my site. I'm messing around with some stuff, but if anyone has some experience with this, please drop me a line.
I've once again updated Mugshot to 1.1.8. This is a bug-fix release that fixes some crasher issues.
I've updated Mugshot to the latest version: 1.1.7 for dapper drake. Have fun, everyone.
I've packaged and built the Mugshot client for AMD64 and i386. I haven't gotten Rhythmbox up yet because for some reason my build b0rks, although I haven't looked into why. Sorry for the delay, I'll try to get it up next week.
MPlayer has released an update, and Rhythmbox is getting ready to do so. I'll post these together when I get the chance.
I've got a job now, so I have a little less time, as well as the fact that things have calmed down. If there are requests for any packages that I don't have, drop me a line, and I'll see what I can do.
Some time ago I updated Mugshot to 1.1.13. Sorry for not posting it. I've also uploaded last-exit. I should have an apt repository up soon.
Also, I've moved some older news off the home page. Seemed far too cluttered.
